“Ancestors” is a series of fifteen solar etchings created from my original photography combined with archival images of ancient petroglyphs in the desert Southwest.  All of the etchings and relief prints were made using solarplates, which are coated with a photo emulsion and exposed to light.  Solarplates are versatile and encourage experimentation.  The sculpture and print installations were made with multiple solar etchings or relief prints.
